What's Gassan Beef?
Gassan Beef is a type of Japanese Black Beef made from calves specially selected for their lineage. The cows are raised for two years in Nishikawa Town, or are born in Nishikawa Town and raised for more than three years.
The base of Mt. Gassan in Nishikawa Town has lots of clean air and water. So cows raised in this natural environment produce fatty tissue with a low melting point. Not only is their meat soft, it seems to melt in ones mouth!
